Join us for the culminating event of the inaugural Te Piringa Pride Intersex Moot. This competition represents a landmark collaboration between Te Piringa Pride and Te Piringa Competitions, designed to explore and advocate on complex legal issues surrounding intersex status and human rights.
After two intense preliminary rounds, our top-scoring teams will face off in the Grand Final. This is a unique opportunity for students, faculty, and the public to witness high-level legal advocacy on a subject of immense contemporary importance.
The Moot Problem
We are honored to present a moot problem developed by Dr. Regina Starling (PhD, LLM, LLB). Dr. Starling is a Teaching Fellow at Te Piringa and holds the distinction of being the first openly intersex person in Aotearoa New Zealand to be awarded a PhD.
